“Loved every second of it!!” ~Under the Covers

I wasn’t sure how much I looked forward to reading about Rome. I figured he was always the good boy trying to protect his brothers, friends and country. You know bad boys are more my thing.

But then in Jet’s book we see a darker side of Rome after he comes back from Afghanistan. He was hurt both physically and emotionally and is still dealing with that. Or not dealing with it, and just drowning it in alcohol. He’s fighting with his brother, his parents and everyone around him.

That is until Cora stands up to him and calls him on it. They are such an odd couple that I can’t help but love and want them together! And made me love them they did!

Without a lot of words at the beginning, Rome captivates both Cora and my attention. And I was pretty gone from that point on.

ROME is my favorite book in this series so far! Loved every second of it!! Not the bad boy, but the good boy that you are proud to bring home while still being able to help him through something.

Cora is the perfect medicine to heal all of Rome’s problems. And when they are together, these two are explosive. Even when they’re not having sex. I was glued to the pages with all of their interactions.

This is quickly becoming a favorite series is mine and would recommend it to everyone. It has a little bit of everything!! Bad boys, good boys, rockers and military. You can get it all while getting a good dose of alpha male and my favorite type of take charge heroines.

I am looking forward to anything this author puts out and I hope Nash is the next one to find his HEA with Saint 🙂

About Jay Crownover

Jay Crownover is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men and The Point series. Like her characters, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she'll settle for writing stories with interesting characters that make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.

Rome Banner

Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.

Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.

Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .

  1. Oh my gosh~ Rome is my favorite! I haven’t read Rule’s or Jet’s but Rome is indeed my favorite. I love good boys with dark pasts or just badly hurt and soul tortured. It makes the healing all the more touching. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Wow the book sounds good. I’ve not heard of this series. I’m going to have to look it up. Thank you Francesca.
