…. it was packed with some sizzling sexual chemistry between Josie and Jake and some sweet and emotional moments  ~ Under the Covers

Josie Jacobson has decided to spice up her life a little, being a mother to an adorable son she loves and working doesn’t give her much time to devote to herself, but she has made a list in the New Year with one item per month to fulfill on her sexual fantasy list. Her first item; sex with a stranger. When she meets Jake for her first item though he is determined to be the only man who fulfills every item on her list…

This is the second installment in the Second Chances series and once again I really enjoyed the book, it was fun, sexy and sweet. It was a fairly short book, but it didn’t waste any page space, it was packed with some sizzling sexual chemistry between Josie and Jake and some sweet and emotional moments as Josie embarks on a new phase in her life.

I really liked both Josie and Jake, they were likeable characters whose connection with each other blazed through the page and grew as their relationship developed. The best parts though were when they were fulfilling Josie’s fantasy list I definitely needed a fan for those scenes as they were smokin’ hot! As well as Josie I liked seeing parts of her other friends life’s who I assume will also get a book in this series, I can’t wait to see who comes next.

The only issue I really had with this book was that it seemed to end really quickly and abruptly. I turned over expecting to find the next chapter but instead I found an epilogue, maybe I was disappointed because I liked it and wanted to read more, but it was seemed very sudden.

I really enjoyed this book, another good book in the series and I can’t wait to read more.

About Mari Carr

Writing a book was number one on Mari Carr’s bucket list and on her thirty-fourth birthday, she set out to see that goal achieved. Five years later, her computer is jammed full of stories — novels, novellas, short stories and dead-ends and six of her books have been published.

High school librarian by day and mother of two busy teenagers, Mari Carr found time for writing by squeezing it into the hours between 3 a.m. and daybreak when her family is asleep and the house is quiet.
