Knox’s ability to infuse her writing with such humor and heart is what makes it so appealing to readers. I can always count of Knox to make me smile with one of her books. ~ Under the Covers

FLIRTING WITH DISASTER is the third book in the Camelot series and is by far my favorite of them so far. Who knew that a stuttering hacker hero would be the key to my heart?

Sean Owens is the nerd hero. He stutters. He likes to read sci-fi. He’s a computer geek. BUT HE IS HOT AS HELL. I loved reading about his feelings about Katie. It just burst my heart wide open and I just fell in love with his character. He’s also got a bit of a possessive streak as well which is an interesting and incredibly hot combination.

When Katie gets hit on by Judah, the hottest rock star around, Sean realizes that, okay he may be in over his head, but nothing – and he means NOTHING – will keep him away from Katie any longer. The ride together to meet Judah has already riled him up and Sean realizes that he can no longer resist Katie.

At the beginning, I really loved Katie. Her POVs were hilarious and she seemed like a very likeable character. Towards the middle, when we learn about why she married Levi, her ex-husband, that’s when it became a little wishy-washy for me. I still very much liked her, but learning some truths about her past also changed my opinions on her.

The whole mystery concerning the threats on Judah was interesting. It made me flew by the pages. But I always thought Judah was a very odd character. I couldn’t understand his motive at first, but I think Knox intended him to be that way.

So while Judah and Katie’s character were good, it was Sean’s character that really made this book for me. In fact, I may admit that Sean may be one of my new favorite Ruthie Knox heroes next to City from ABOUT LAST NIGHT.

I also wanted to touch on Ruthie’s writing. Simply put, she is a great writer. But I was in a terrible mood when I chose to read this and found myself smiling and laughing out loud as I breezed through it. Her ability to infuse her writing with such humor and heart is what makes it so appealing to readers. I can always count of Knox to make me smile with one of her books.
