“This is my first P.A. DePaul read and this will not be the last. I enjoyed her writing style and the storyline she brought” ~ Under the Covers
After Sandra’s last mission had gone terribly wrong, she swore never to pick up another rifle again. Now that sheโs settled in her new life, her past is catching up with her threatening everything she cares for. Unfortunately, she will have to come out of hiding to survive.
Grady is no assassin but heโs a Marine and can definitely hold his own. I love that Sandraโs team treated him like heโs clueless but he totally kept up earning their respect quick. Because of his military background, he fits just right it. I love that despite Sandra being a strong willed person, he didn’t let her walk all over him. In Fact, he wants to protect her. I find their relationship very sweet.
Cappy, Talon, Romeo, and Magician are part of the SBG and they are all interesting characters. But I wish there was more character build up for them.
This is my first P.A. DePaul read and this will not be the last. I enjoyed her writing style and the storyline she brought. This first installment of SBG was exciting, packed with action, and had pretty good drama. However, there were some spots that was a bit slow for me. I also wish there was more time for Sandra and Grady to fall in love for each other. Everything happened so fast that I almost missed it.
Overall, Exchange of Fire was a good read and I’m excited to read more from this author.

Thanks for the review. I never typically search out romantic suspense but I usually enjoy them when I pick one up.
