“EVERNIGHT thrills and impresses with its dark intrigue and hotter than hell hero. Building much like a rollercoaster ride, Kristen Callihan takes you on an adventure you never thought existed until you open this book.” ~ Under the Covers

Book five in the Darkest London series by Kristen Callihan is a book that I was highly anticipating after the suspenseful ending that the last book finished with. In EVERNIGHT, William Thorne seeks revenge against his maker, Holly Evernight. After working on him, they are forever bound, but probably not in the way they think.

When a contract on Hollyโ€™s life puts her in a bad position, Will offers to find the killer if he can ease her pain with her touch. What starts off as a hostile relationship soon burns brighter and deeper than anyone expected.

There is much to love about this book. First off, Kristen Callihanโ€™s writing is as elegant and as tautly written as ever. I always thought her books had amazing pacing and plotting. However, for her to be able to continuously deliver like that consistently in each book both baffles and impresses me. Itโ€™s such a hardship, but it seems almost effortless for Callihan.

The many twists and turns made for a wonderful ride. Just when I thought it was coming to an end, Callihan flips you over and does it again, building that ride up until youโ€™re forced to enjoy it. Itโ€™s really quite incredible how she is able to make such genius twists and make them hit hard each time.

As Callihan weaves a magical romance between Will and Holly, she is also working hard are setting up the next book in the series. How the threads intermingle but still remain solid entities in themselves show her talent as a writer. I am definitely dying for Adamโ€™s book now.

EVERNIGHT thrills and impresses with its dark intrigue and hotter than hell hero. Building much like a rollercoaster ride, Kristen Callihan takes you on an adventure you never thought existed until you open this book.

  1. I got to read this one too, Annie, and I was just as eager for Holly and Will after the ending of Shadowdance. It was so engaging and now here I am again anticipating the next release. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Nice review!
