“…although Edges Blade perhaps hasn’t been my favourite book in the series, it still had my hand surgically attached to my kindle” ~ Under the Covers

It’s been almost a year since Kit was kidnapped and tortured at the hands of a vampire, and life could almost be normal again, apart from the nightmares. Not only is she dying to get her hands all over her favourite cat alpha boyfriend, being in a room of vampires doesn’t quite make her sweat and run away panicked. When her best-friend Justin brings her case where not only witches, but shifters and even vampires are disappearing, she takes the case up with a sense that this is bigger than it first appears.

You know what I hate? Cliff hangers that aren’t quite cliff hangers and having to wait for the next book to see the end of a conversation. Damn J.C. Daniels wily ways, I am now guaranteed to read the next book in the series! Despite the not-quite cliff hanger, I still would have read the next book as although Edges Blade perhaps hasn’t been my favourite book in the series, it still had my hand surgically attached to my kindle.

In Edged Blade Kit has healed some from her experiences with Jude – the evil torturing vampire – and is trying to move on and get back to her old self, with various amounts of success. The success I enjoyed the most was the sexy times with Damon, Alpha of the cat shifters and Kit’s boyfriend. Their time together managed to sweet and healing, whilst being banging-against-the-wall sexy. I also liked seeing Kit slowly returning back to her kick ass self, smart mouthed self and taking on a new case.

The case was interesting and kept the story moving on at a fairly clipped pace, this wasn’t a balls to the wall, no time for a quick breath kind of book, but it kept me interested and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. In fact this book seemed too short, before I knew it, I had finished it still eagerly anticipating more.

I really enjoyed Edged Blade if you haven’t picked this series up, than you need to give it a go, it has everything you need from action to romance, and it always leaves you wanting more.

  1. I don’t like cliffhangers either….i usually read the cliffhanger book closer to the release date of the next book..

  2. I love these books but I agree about nothing being settled every time a book ends, I just we got the next book faster.
