“DRIVE ME CRAZY was an enjoyable read, with a very hot one at that with one talented hero involved that you may want to keep for yourself.” ~Under the Covers
I went into this book without knowing much about the story. I didn’t read the first book either. I was able to pick up DRIVE ME CRAZY without any problems. What I loved from the beginning was the mix of classical music, with Elise’s (and Quinn’s) background and the hard edge of rock that Shaken Dirty (Quinn’s band) brings to the present.
There are some past issues between Quinn and Elise, who were nemesis all growing up and playing piano together. But things aren’t clear right off the bat and at times it was a bit frustrating the not knowing what had happened and that slow unveil of their issues. I’m not a fan of the guy that thinks he’s doing the girl good by staying away, so when motives weren’t immediately clear I did hit a mental block.
However, Quinn is very sexy in all his ripped jeans glory and his fun demeanor made it easy for me to instantly like him. Elise came with baggage from the very beginning, I couldn’t help but feel bad for her situation. It did seem like a vulnerable time to start their relationship back up but the chemistry between Elise and Quinn was undeniable and it only made sense that things exploded pretty quickly.
Overall, DRIVE ME CRAZY was an enjoyable read, with a very hot one at that with one talented hero involved that you may want to keep for yourself. A quick and spicy way to spend an afternoon. However, I’m not sure if it’s a series I will continue reading more of as it didn’t grab my attention enough to stand out.
