DIRTY DEEDS combines the playful and the suspenseful into one wild ride. Expect the same crazy antics and tender moments between Cole and Jae for the ultimate romance between two endearing characters.~ Under the Covers
Rhys Ford opens up the fourth book in the Cole McGinnis series with another upbeat, hilarious and cheeky little scene that sets the tone for much of the book.
DIRTY DEEDS is a fun ride all the way through, sparking here and there with its suspenseful twists and turns. In this book, Cole and Jae are dealing with the aftermath of Jae’s traditional Korean family disowning him as well as dealing with Sheila Pinelli, a previous threat that has Cole enraged all over again. It is imperative that Cole finds Sheila once again. However, in the process of doing that, Cole gets tangled in a deeper web that might be too much for even him.
There is something to be said about Ford’s writing style. In this series, it’s always very fun and engaging. Cole’s narration just sticks to you until you’re fully invested in the story. I love the playfulness that exudes from this pages because I think it balances out the tension and the suspense that the author also likes to add in.
Ford also pays great attention to the romance between Jae and Cole. Even four books in, I find that the romance is still fresh. I feel like the healing that occurs in both the characters is important to the series and makes them better characters at the end of it all.
Ford does something quite interesting at the very end of this book. Though not quite a crazy cliffhanger, it will make readers beg for the next book in the series. She sets something up that will be interesting to watch for and I think it will change the whole dynamic of the books as well.
