ARC Review: Deep by Kylie Scott

I didn’t think there would be anyone else who could come close to Mal, but there was something about Ben and Lizzy’s interaction that made them very likable. Whether it was the fun banter or the circumstances in which they met, Kylie Scott pens a refreshingly funny story about two opposites who fall in love despite disastrous events.

Lizzy is simply known as being the “sister” so automatically she is off limits to Ben, the drummer of Stage Dive. However, Lizzy isn’t one to simply resist temptation, especially one as irresistible and sexy as Ben. So she pursues him, wooing him with her personality and charm. If Ben didn’t fall in love with Lizzy by the end of the book, I would have slapped him because she’s so fun, so full of life that anything you throw at her, she seems to take in stride.

Of course the rest of the gang is present as well, including my boyfriend Mal who continues to light up the pages whenever he’s around. Ben is a great presence as well but I would have loved to know more about him specifically. What it is that makes him the way he is, what makes him tick, what he wants the most? While I really enjoyed his relationship with Lizzy, outside of that I wanted more.
