“I’m a whole person. And the idea of needing to find someone to make you complete seems like bullshit to me. The right person shouldn’t complete you, they should love you the way you are. And it’s cool if they make you want to be better, but they should never make you feel like you’re too much or not enough exactly as you are.”

Okay I adored this. It was funny and sweet and spicy, and I loved getting more of Brendon and Annie!

The relationship between Olivia and Margot was TENSE, mostly because they had a week of passion when they were teenagers and haven’t seen each other in eleven years. When they come back together, it’s totally on accident, and then they wind up as ROOMMATES. Forced proximity, anyone? 👀

I loved Olivia’s character. She’s struggles a lot with duty. Feeling a duty to her father, who she left in her hometown. A duty to her ex-husband, who she didn’t owe shit because all he ever did was take advantage of her. She really struggled with boundaries, but in the end I felt like she really found it within herself to draw a line in the sand on certain things.

And then there’s Margot. It’s funny that the quote I chose was from her because I didn’t particularly like her. She gave great dirty talk, sure, but I also generally got the vibe from her that she felt like the world OWED her something, but she never went out and took it. She had a woe-is-me attitude about her friends and their relationships with their significant others taking time away from her. But in reality, Margot was the master of her own fate and she easily could’ve changed things for herself 🤷🏼‍♀️ I suppose she did with Olivia, so she sort of grew on me by the end.

All in all, such a cute, spicy, sapphic addition to the 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 universe.
