“Their romance blooms slowly, but it is quite sultry, a perfect way to get you all warmed up for the holidays.”
~ Under the Covers

In the fifth book of the Colorado High Country series, Pamela Clare adds a little bit of suspense to her Contemporary Romance series. When Rain Minear’s roof collapsed beneath all the snow, Joe rushes in to save his friend and General Manager. Although there’s a ten-year age difference between the two, age has no meaning when it comes to love. Their romance blooms slowly, but it is quite sultry, a perfect way to get you all warmed up for the holidays.

Clare has done some holiday stories in the past, but I feel like this one is slightly more serious in tone. Whenever I read this series, I feel like the style is written for a slightly more older audience. While the leads can be considered relatively young, the style in which it is written definitely feels more mature. It deals a lot with more issues that I think a lot of people can relate to but sometimes I felt could be easily solved with more communication.

All in all, this book is a great easy read for Pamela Clare fans. Blending together heartwarming moments with more serious topics, this book will have you reflecting on your own life and the precious holiday moments that come with it.
