“…a job well done by Ms Kenner. She had me glued to my e-reader needing every bit of the story; from the secret reveals, to the very steamy scenes and the hopes of a HEA for Damien and Nikki.” ~Under the Covers Book Blog

I had enjoyed this installment so much more than the last. Ms. Kenner really captured her readers’ attention with this story of two people finally learning to trust and love despite  their dark sides.

Claim Me starts shortly after Release Me (Stark Trilogy #1) which left quite a bit of a cliff hanger for us. No worries, Ms. Kenner had cleared up a bit of the questions we may have, especially about Damien Stark. There were several issues that was a mystery including Damien’s multibillion dollar company, his involvement with his former tennis coach and most importantly, secrets that were not yet revealed. I actually predicted what Damien’s secrets were after reading Claim Me, and I was right. This poor billionaire has a past that just keeps coming back to haunt him. And as Nikki deals with the media, the resurface of her sister’s death and the “end of their deal”; she finds herself vulnerable and reverting to her old ways is inevitable. The question is not If they make it but HOW they make it.

It was amazing to see this couple come together and finally see a middle ground of how to deal with their issues. Damien’s wall of distrust was slowly broken down by Nikki; he finally confess and reveals his very soul. I think for both of them, the fact that the “deal” was finally over, they can see each other’s intensions clearly. I’m still a bit bothered that this “deal” is such an issue. I feel thier relationship is so much stronger than their fears and the stupid deal. I know, I shouldn’t complain, after all, it is the very reason that brought them together.

Overall, a job well done by Ms Kenner. She had me glued to my e-reader needing every bit of the story; from the secret reveals, to the very steamy scenes and the hopes of a HEA for Damien and Nikki.
