ARC Review: Brody by Emma Lang + GIVEAWAY

 

 

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a sexy guy in a uniform, whether it’s in current times or in the past. Add to that the whole time I was reading this I would picture Len Gunn (the model on the cover) and well…. let me just tell you about the book.In Matthew, the Graham family had been targeted, their youngest sibling Benjamin was kidnapped and their parents were killed. And then came Brody Armstrong, the Texas Ranger who had been researching a series of similar crimes in the area and was now on the trail of what happened to them. Except now that he has a lead to follow, he can’t seem to get rid of Olivia Graham.

Olivia was in one word feisty. She had a lot of spunk and she was willing to do anything to find her brother. I have to admire her for her courage, first in making Brody have to take her, and second that she was no wilting flower.

Brody on the other hand, I expected his roughness and sex appeal. A man of the law, but also a loner, used to getting his way because there’s never anyone around to confront him. And when he comes across a woman who does, well, unexpected things happen. =) What can I say? I love a bad boy, and Brody is not necesarily a good boy, so I fell for him pretty damn quick.

These two were destined to be together, it was great they didn’t really try to fight it much. They perfectly suited for each other in and out of the bedroom. Their banter was funny, their sexual tension was great, and they also worked very well as a team. But ohhhhhhh how I loved how they heated up the sheets. Raw and needy and primal, holding nothing back and ashamed of nothing.

Although I guess this is a cowboy series to me it has more of the feel of a good western, with outlaws and rangers, at least from what we’ve seen so far. And I have to say that I really like that about it. I’m excited already for Caleb’s book and to see how the story develops in finding Benjamin.
