I’m coming at you with a recommendation! It’s honestly been too long since I’ve enjoyed a book this much. And I’m not surprised it’s thanks to one of my favorite authors. Sarina Bowen is one of the few that can make me fall for new adult!

While this is a college hockey romance, it’s really more about two genuine good people. I can’t start talking about the romance without raving about the characters. I loved both of them so much. Not just together, although they’re perfect for each other. But individually as well.

Abbi is working as a waitress at the hockey teams favorite hangout spot. She’s had a crush on Weston but never really approached him. Until she sees he’s offering his service as a fake boyfriend. For just $25 he can be her pretend boyfriend at her family’s Thanksgiving dinner. And she certainly needs the buffer with the stepbrother from hell. Their fake relationship expands when Weston needs her to return the favor.

BOYFRIEND is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. One of the cutest and sweetest stories I’ve read this year. No unnecessary drama. Just two people falling in love and not quite noticing at first. Just enjoying each other’s company. It’s laid back but with substance. Once you start reading you won’t want to put it down. And if I’m being honest, I loved them so much I wanted the chapters to keep going after the epilogue.
