“I was a little torn about liking Cait and Owen” ~ Under the Covers
Cait is a rare breed of cat shifters and would sell high in the black market of hell. Hence, her desperation to hire Owen Nightingale to solve her problems. Owen is a well-known mercenary with a rare gift, no one knew about. He is famous for what he does and with the undeniable attraction between them; Owen will take the job. The fight for freedom and the race to save their lives will bring them closer to love, lust and trust for each other…a foreign concept to them both.
I was a little torn about liking Cait and Owen. Yes, I liked them separately and most definitely enjoyed the back story. Cait is a strong woman and is a survivor, and she can pretty much kick ass. Owen was the same, and his hidden talent surprised me. As a couple, they had a bit of insta-love in the beginning of the book. It was a slow start for me but Heaton pulled it off and made their “love” more believable about half way through the book. Which, at this point, the back story kicks off to a more nail-biting suspense and action scenes. Heaton threw in some characters from previous books (I love this part of her books) and a few new ones that possibly will have stories of their own. I won’t mention who and what they are at this point but if you follow Felicity Heaton books, this will be a plus for you…even if we just get a peak.
Next up is Taken by a Dragon.
