” I took a chance and it paid off. I thoroughly enjoyed Below the Belt.” ~ Under the Covers

If the first two books in this series are anything like Below the Belt, then I need to go back and read them. After seeing this on NG, I couldn’t resist but request for it. Yes, I admit it, I requested this book based solely on its cover. Can you blame me? Okay, so maybe I looked at the blurb after but initially it was because of the cover ;). With that said, I took a chance and it paid off. I thoroughly enjoyed Below the Belt.

Antonio Scarface Marino is one of the best MMA fighters around but pretty much is at the end of the rope of his career. His drinking and party days have caught up to him in a big way affecting his game. Not to mention his anger issues that are also taking a toll. His boss Francesca has had it and more than ready to put him in his place.

Francesca surprised me. She is definitely more than just a suit. Her background on MMA fighting impressed me, and it impressed Tony. Their relationship has a love-hate relationship but sparks fly, and they were very cute together. Tony was a bit annoying with his pride at times but overall he is an amazing guy. He is very passionate, seductive and very intense.

Though Below the Belt is the third in the series, it is also a stand alone. I enjoyed this installment and would definitely recommend it even if you have not read Sidney Halston’s other books.
