ARC Review and Deleted Scene: A Cursed Moon by Cecy Robson

Recommended Read!

โ€œI cannot get enough of Ms. Robsonโ€™s Weird Girls. Iโ€™ll say it again and again; I love her work, and this is one series I recommend to any PNR or UF readers.โ€ ~ Under the Covers

Something very wrong is happening in Tahoe. Paranormal beings are showing up and showing a lot of interest in Celia. Bren and Celia will have to work together to battle ghosts and ghouls. It was great seeing them in action, and I enjoyed seeing them express their feelings for each other, in a familial way of course. His relationship with Celia, her sisters and Danny was showcased, as well as his past. We find out the reasons why he does not belong to a pack and why he refuses to be a part of Aricโ€™s pack.

If you read the last book, youโ€™ll know that hell broke loose and Aric crushed Celiaโ€™s heart. I have always been a Misha fan, and after reading the last book, Aric definitely became my least fave character in this series. However, after reading this novella, my heart softened for himโ€ฆa little. I guess I understood a bit more of his side of the story, and I guess, I sortย ofย understand his sitch. But still, up to this point of the series, I am still Team Misha.

Bren, Dan and Ceel made me grin like an idiot while I read this book. Their banter, jokes and daily interaction was just laugh-out-loud funny. Though the story focuses on Bren and his smart mouth, we also got a good amount of Danny. I knew he was pertinent to the sisters, and after reading this book, I can predict that he will have such an impact the series itself. Ms. Mancuso, of course had to have her cameo. Her foul mouth and dirty finger also had me LOL. I canโ€™t wait to see what Ms. Robson has planned for her. Iโ€™m thinking in one of the future books; sheโ€™ll end up being the devils wife or of the sort. =D

Despite the fact that this is a short story, it had a full length novel feel to it. I enjoyed every bit of this novel as much as the past books. ย I cannot get enough of Ms. Robsonโ€™s Weird Girls. Iโ€™ll say it again and again; I love her work, and this is one series I recommend to any PNR or UF readers.

  1. Hot, but I can see why that shouldn’t happen. To me, Celia deserves WAY better than being another slot on the booty schedule; especially for a first time since 17.
