“Full of conspiracies, agents, and the way the characters slowly find out who they are, it kind of reminded me of a toned down, young adult version of The Bourne Identity.” ~Under the Covers

Anna lives with her father, Arthur, who is an employee for a government funded organization known as The Branch. Anna’s life mostly consists of assisting her father administer treatments for four genetically altered boys, Trev, Nick, Cas and Sam, who live in the lab in their basement. And as the years go by she’s grown a bond with all four boys, especially Sam. But when Sam executes a plan to escape the lab, everything goes wrong and they leave behind a massacre of agents. Even worse, Anna is forced to go with them.

Now on the run and their lives on the line, they go in search of finding out who they are and why they ended up with The Branch at all. But as days go by not only are they learning more about themselves and The Branch but Anna learns there are secrets and lies about her own life as well. Could they all have been played by The Branch? And will they get out of this alive?

At first I thought this was going to be another book full of teen angst with a side story to keep you
interested enough to read. I was mistaken. The little love story itself was the side story and what
happens around them is what keeps you turning the pages. Just when you think things are starting to die down, someone gets shot right in front of you and blood is splattered all over your face.

Full of conspiracies, agents, and the way the characters slowly find out who they are, it kind of reminded me of a toned down, young adult version of The Bourne Identity. Hopefully there will be a next because I will definitely read it.
