All I want for Christmas is You may be short but it packs a powerful punch. Jessica Scott yet again tackles issues of being a soldier, not so much the actual job but what comes with it. The strength of this story is not about the issues but the survival of these soldiers. This is a story of love triumphs all.

The aftermath of being deployed has hit Natalie and Patrick hard. Not only their experiences has left them emotionally and physically damaged; it also threatens their relationship. It would take one heck of a storm and a manipulative little girl to fix this.

My heart broke for Natalie and Patrick. Because they both have been deployed for long periods of time, they have forgotten to be couple in every sense of the way. But I commend Patrick on his strength to save their relationship. He was patient but assertive in getting what he wanted. Natalie is very lucky to have him.

If you have time for a quick heartfelt read this holiday, I recommend this book.
