ARC Review: A Warrior’s Claiming by Marie Harte

A WARRIOR’S CLAIMING is the third book in Marie Harte’s Instinct series but it’s the first one that I’ve tried. While the story can work as a standalone, I really think you need to read the rest of the series to at least get a hang of the world. Harte does something really unique with this series. She combines a lot of genres so it can be a little overwhelming if you’re jumping in for the very first time like me.

This series is a bit of Paranormal Romance and Sci Fi. But it’s also very Erotic Romance and as if that wasn’t enough, there’s also some M/M action in it as well. So yeah, that’s a lot for a novella so it did take me a while to get accustomed to the world and how it works. If you’re a fan of aliens, you’ll probably enjoy this one. And another thing that sets this book apart from other books that I’ve read is that it’s the woman is who doing the claiming. So although we have two mighty warriors, the real power lies within her.

This is only my second time reading something from Marie Harte that isn’t Contemporary Romance so I’m impressed with the way she’s able to change her writing to suit so many genres. I look forward to reading more genres through Harte.
