“If you’re looking for a straight-forward, simple read, then this is a good one to try. I would also recommend this to readers who may have never tried the Mystery genre before. Di Marco’s writing would be an easy path into the genre.”

ALL SIGNS POINT TO MURDER is the second book in the Zodiac Mystery series by Connie Di Marco but it’s the first book I’ve tried from this author. I was intrigued by this series because of its premise. I’m really into astrology and stuff like that so when I saw that there was a Mystery series that centers around that, I knew I had to give it a try.

Although I didn’t read the first book before this, I found it incredibly easy to fall into this series. The world is great, the characters are fun, and I really liked the mystery as well. This one involves a wedding that has gone wrong and although I don’t usually like books that center around a wedding, this one was bearable for me. I think this was mainly due to the heroine. Julia is really fun. I love her personality and didn’t find her amateur sleuth ways to be annoying like some heroines can be.

My one complaint about this book is the writing. It’s very easy to read and it probably won’t take you very long to get through it. However, I do wish there was a little more variation when it came to the description and dialogue. The author the same sentence structure a lot on one page so when you’re reading it, it can feel a little monotonous. It’s a lot of Geneva this and Geneva that… I just wished there was more eloquent sentence structure. But if you’re looking for a straight-forward, simple read, then this is a good one to try. I would also recommend this to readers who may have never tried the Mystery genre before. Di Marco’s writing would be an easy path into the genre.
