Jay Fields, illusionist and master of hearts, steals the show and Matilda’s heart in Six of Hearts by L.H. Cosway. Intrigue and romance makes it impossible not to fall for Jay’s charms as he turns Matilda’s world magically upside down.
“Isn’t it more exciting not knowing, just letting the possibilities be endless?”

Read this if you want:

- Revenge for childhood
- Heroine you want to be friends with
“On the contrary, my apple loves to be eaten. In fact, my apple is a little cranky right now because she hasn’t been eaten in a while.”
There are always books or authors that will ruin you for all others. L.H. Cosway truly has a gift for writing compelling characters and unique stories. With every book I read by her I realize more and more that she is quite simply one of my favorite authors! And she has ruined me for all others. Especially with her stellar heroes that make my heart skip a beat and my panties melt away when they get all possessive and alpha (or just when they breathe) and her heroines that just make me want to go out with them for a drink and make them my BFF.
SIX OF HEARTS is compelling, funny and entertaining, deep and emotional and on fire hot! I’ve fallen hard for Jay Fields and want to keep him locked up in my basement of book boyfriends. You need to meet him and fall in love with him as well. Jay Fields is charismatic, sexy, with a dash of arrogance and a heart of gold.
I don’t want to give too much away from the story but what you need to know is that Jay is an illusionist. Or read magician. Very much like Criss Angel (profession, not the looks). He’s seeking revenge from a childhood gone wrong and he’s seeking love. One of the best friends to lovers stories I’ve read in a while. I loved everything about their developing relationship.
I was completely enraptured from the very first page. Jay and Matilda’s quirky personalities that work so well together. Their sexual chemistry and the sexual tension in the beginning that was revving up all my buttons. And when they finally get together *mind blown with excitement*. Try not to salivate on your e-reader.
If you only have time to read one book this week or this month or whenever really… This is it! It’s funny that when I love a book so much there’s hardly that much to say. But really, it can all be summarized with “You have to read this, because this book is amazing!” End of story. I may want to re-read it now after I finished writing this because I want to experience it all over again!
“You’re lucky you got away with a quickie. I have a good mind to make sure you can’t walk straight in the morning.”
