Review: Revved by Samantha Towle

You know how sometimes you get a craving for a particular type of book?  A little while ago I was craving a book about a race car driver because it’s been a really long time since I’ve read one.  I remembered this series and also the fact that I’ve wanted to try this author.  So here I am finally!  And I did enjoy it!  While REVVED is not without issues, it was a fun read.

If you don’t like perfect heroines, you may want to steer clear.  Andi is the daughter of a super model and a racing legend.  Her father died on the track when she was just a little girl after a tragic accident and her mom moved her and raised her in Brazil.  But she’s always loved the track and that world and she became one hell of a mechanic.  Her godfather gets her a position to be part of Carrick’s team and she’s more than excited to prove herself.  If only she can stay away from the bad boy of Formula One, who happens to have sex with any female in front of him.

There are definitely things about this book that I enjoyed like the fact that Andi and Carrick had to form a friendship first in spite of the incredible attraction they felt for each other.  And I enjoyed seeing the F1 racing circuit.  That is definitely what has left me wanting to read more.
