“Fans of small town romances will love this series. It has a lot of charm!” ~Under the Covers
I’ve been wanting to read a Virginia Kantra book for the longest time now. Somehow, I always manage to push them back on the TBR. CAROLINA HOME introduces us to Dare Island, a small fishing town in North Carolina. I’ve always thought the scenery in the area would lend itself to a very romantic setting. And I wasn’t wrong. Fans of small town romances will love this series. It has a lot of charm!
But lets start with the Fletcher family because what good small town romance doesn’t have a group of siblings in need of some love? Matt is a perfect example of that. He’s a single dad to a sixteen year old boy from his previous failed marriage. He’s a fisherman in town, a caring and hardworking man, and above all else a family man. His parents have run a bed & breakfast inn for years and Matt was never the child that was itching to move away from Dare Island and away from his family.
Allison, on the other hand, comes from the city and a family that always gave her everything but taking a toll on her emotions. The small town lifestyle and being a teacher and having lasting relationships with the kids she teaches is her passion. When she ends up as Matt’s son teacher things start heating up between them. And when I say heating up? I mean heating up. Matt is uber sexy!
As much as our H/h are such an endearing couple, everything around them made this book special for me. The parents and how connected Matt is with them and dedicated to helping them. Of course, there’s a little girl that will steal your heart as well in the mix. And a bunch of siblings that can be tough to handle at times but I can’t wait to crack open in their own books.
CAROLINA HOME is the type of feel good book that you should be reading this summer!
